Health Protection Agency has officially announced their decision to extend the curfew hours of Male' City.
Starting from 26th May 2021 (Wednesday), the curfew hours in Greater Male' area is 16:00 to 08:00. The movement of people and vehicles during this time period, without prior approval is strictly prohibited. However, movement restrictions would also be in place, during hours outside of the curfew period.
In the hours outside of the curfew period, household permits will be given for two individuals per household. A time frame is allocated for each permit holder, with permit holder 1 getting 8 am to 12 pm and permit holder 2 getting 12 pm to 4 pm. Travels between Male and Hulhumale, and Male and Vilimale are not allowed under these permits.
Vehicular movements are allowed for the individuals holding household permits.
