Manta Air, a popular domestic airline of Maldives has started the first round of its apprenticeship program in partnership with UNDP Maldives.
The first round of this program commenced yesterday with a special ceremony to kickstart the program. 6 young individuals were given uniforms and letters of appointment to the program. They were 3 girls and 3 boys.
According to Manta Air, the selected youngsters will train in various areas related to the airline operations. They will be under direct supervision of expert employees, the airline added. The areas of training ranges from ground operations to marketing.
Manta Air signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UNDP Maldives to conduct this program, on August of this year.
Currently, Manta Air is the fastest growing airline in the Maldives. They operate both seaplanes and ATR Aircrafts, gaining popularity amongst customers for their fast and reliable service.
