The Manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has been invited for a game of golf in the Maldives.
This invitation was extended to the popular Spanish coach after he mentioned that he would rather live in the Maldives and play golf than manage Manchester United even if it were the only job on offer.
He said this remark while speaking in a press conference regarding the semi-final match between City and Manchester United for the Carabao Cup.
“I’d be in the Maldives if I don’t have any offers. Maybe not the Maldives because it doesn’t have any golf courses.”, said Pep Guardiola. Maldivian Social media reacted widely to this comment, with many asking Guardiola to visit the country not for holiday, but rather for football related affairs.
Yesterday, the official twitter account of “Visit Maldives” tweeted inviting the coach for a game of golf in one of the golf courses in the Maldives.
