A special flight of Biman Airlines from Bangladesh has landed in the Maldives last night, carrying much needed medical supplies for the Maldives.
National Flag-carrier “Maldivian” announced the arrival of the plane last night on twitter. Maldivian thanked the airline for bringing much needed equipment required to finish the Hospital being developed in Hulhumale COVID Village Hospital.
The plane had also carried some essential medical supplies. This plane arrived in the Maldives to take part in a special operation of repatriation of 500 Bangladeshis living in the Maldives. This operation will be conducted by Maldivian and Biman Airlines.
Since the beginning of the community outbreak of COVID-19 in the Maldives, Bangladesh has assisted the Maldives in many ways. Currently, Bangladeshis make up the largest number of nationality affected by COVID-19 in the Maldives.
